A corporate copywriter gone rouge and into the freelance world. A close friend and past coworker. I’ve worked alongside Amber of CommaHound.com in a corporate setting and as a hired pen for my freelance clients. She’s one of the best writers I’ve worked with. She’s edited copy for clients such as Rachael Ray for Nutrish and Bob Harper for Life+Dog.
UI Design + SEO
For my client, Amber of CommaHound.com, one of our discoveries during our pre-website discovery work was that she really wanted to focus on copywriting for the pet industry. So, after the website design prototypes were approved I began developing her website (coding it into a working website) with her main SEO keyword phrase in mind, “Pet Industry Copywriter”. So from image names to file structure to everything in between was centered around her goals.
Within the first month of launching her new website, we started seeing her website on the first page of search results for “pet industry copywriter”. She is now the second website that pops up on that first page and reaping the benefits. She continues to receive leads from those who have found her through search engine results.
What Amber had to say about her results…
“I was surprised to see how quickly my site rose in the search ranks. I now rank 2nd behind a pet copywriter who specializes in SEO. How’s THAT for results? I recently signed a great client who found me by searching for “pet copywriter.” Because of my experience with you, I always recommend to others that they find a website designer who is not only good on the front end (what it looks like) but who truly understands the importance of SEO and how to integrate it on the back end.”
Amber has been a client of mine since the day she said goodbye to the corporate world. I am so happy to see her along in this journey and share in her success. Since her website launch she has written for and worked with large pet industry businesses such as Dogster and Life + Dog magazine among others.
